Ochre Lane Careers
CURRENT JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Production & Logistics Coordinator
Full Time | Tweed Heads Office
Ochre Lane is an Australian swimwear and resort brand defined by considered design, refined silhouettes, and a focus on fit.
This role is the connective tissue between our suppliers, freight partners, and warehouse — keeping product moving efficiently from factory floor to customer door.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Production & Logistics Coordinator is a hands-on operational role responsible for managing our end-to-end supply chain — from production timelines and supplier communication through to freight, customs, and 3PL stock management. You will work directly with the Founder, owning our critical path, keeping production on track, and ensuring our logistics runs without friction. This is a role for someone who thrives on detail, communicates proactively, and knows how to manage competing timelines in a fast-moving environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Coordination
- Manage day-to-day communication with international suppliers and factories — building strong relationships while holding them to deadlines.
- Support product sourcing, including identifying and onboarding new suppliers where needed, in line with brand quality and cost requirements.
- Own and manage the critical path from swatches and samples through to bulk production — tracking every milestone, flagging risks early, and escalating delays before they impact the launch calendar.
- Coordinate the sampling process end-to-end: initial requests, revisions, approval sign-off, and feedback loops between the Founder and suppliers.
- Review QC reports and manage defect tracking, ensuring quality standards are met before goods are shipped.
Logistics & Freight
- Liaise with freight forwarders to book and manage sea/air shipments, ensuring timely departure and arrival.
- Own import documentation — customs declarations, duty calculations, and compliance paperwork — working with our broker to keep clearances on schedule.
- Manage the relationship with our 3PL warehouse, overseeing inbound stock receipts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and flag replenishment needs, maintaining visibility across inbound orders and current holdings.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 2–4 years in a production, logistics, or supply chain coordination role — within fashion, apparel, or eCommerce is essential.
- Proven experience in product sourcing and managing international supplier relationships, including navigating time zones, language barriers, and varying production standards.
- Demonstrated ability to own and manage a critical path from swatches and samples through to bulk production — with precision and without being micromanaged.
- Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and managing import documentation and customs compliance.
- Hands-on with 3PL operations — stock receipts, inventory management, and warehouse communication.
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets for tracking, reporting, and critical path management.
- Familiarity with Shopify for product and inventory data.
- Experience using Xero and ShipHero (or similar WMS/logistics platforms) is highly regarded.
The non-negotiables for this role:
- Crystal-clear communicator — written and verbal. You know when to be concise and when to give detail.
- Exceptionally organised — you run a tight system and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Deadline-driven — you take timelines seriously and push others to do the same.
