Care Guide

To ensure the longevity and maintain the quality of your Ochre Lane pieces for seasons to come, we have provided detailed care guidelines. These recommendations are key to preserving the print, colours and fit of your new swimwear.

We kindly ask that you follow these instructions carefully to preserve the integrity of your new swim and resortwear.

  • Cold Hand Wash Only

Hand wash your swimwear in cold water only – use a gentle detergent only if needed. Avoid harsh chemicals or stain removers, which can affect the colour.

Do not leave your swim to soak in water - this includes wearing in heated water. E.g. spas or bath houses.

  • Avoid Chlorine & Heated Water

Due to the delicate nature of the fabric (especially our Ribbed Towelling Fabric), some chlorinated pools, especially public pools or hotel spas can have a bleach affect on the fabric. Which can cause the fabric to fade, and/or turn green or some fabric dyes to run.

We recommend avoiding chlorine pools, warm bath houses, spas and saunas when wearing Ochre Lane swimwear.

  • Post Wash or Swim

Lay flat to dry in shade. Like any clothing, leaving your swim or resort pieces to dry in direct sunlight for long periods of time, might cause the colour to fade.

Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean or iron.

  • Storage

Please ensure your swim is completely air dry and rinsed of any salt or chlorine before storing.

If your swimwear is not cleaned prior to storage, tarnish, fold lines or mould may occur. Store in a dry cool place.

  • Avoid Oils & Wax

Avoid surf waxes and products such as sun tan oils and fake tan that may stain or pill the fabric.

  • Why do we recommend this?

We understand that our care guide may seem at odds with fully enjoying your swimwear. However, Ochre Lane designs resort-style pieces rather than performance swimwear. These guidelines are standard across most premium resort swim brands to ensure the quality of your pieces stand the test of time.
